We follow Bend La Pine School closures. During severe weather events the district sends out drivers early in the morning to evaluate road conditions. They also check on state, county, and city road-clearing operations and monitor weather forecasts.
If Bend La Pine decides to delay school start times by two hours, or to close schools for the day, they strive to announce their decision no later than 5:30 am. If there is no change in normal operations, they do not make an announcement. No news means schools are open. A delayed start for us would mean a start time of 10:15 am for DSM.
You can get announcements through the district’s BLConnect text messaging service. Register here or check the district website or any local news media. We will make an announcement through Transparent Classroom as well.
PLEASE remember to bring appropriate snowy weather gear (labeled) so we can play outside!
