  • We are accepting applications for Head Teacher / Lead Guide for Primary, Lower Elementary, and Upper Elementary.

  • We are hiring for Assistant Teachers in Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary.

  • The individual in this position will help implement an afterschool program that aligns with our regular Montessori program, as well as assist in general classroom management.

    Schedule

    • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:30 pm – 6:00 pm

    • Wednesday from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm

    • Additional hours may be available via substitute teaching during regular school hours

    Experience

    • Childcare, early childhood education, outdoor education, sports coaching, or similar experience preferred

    • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

    • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students

    Pay

    • Hourly with a competitive wage

    Applicants must be at least 18 years old; have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent; and pass a background check.

Working at Desert Sky Montessori

Desert Sky Montessori is a K–6 public charter school with seven classrooms in beautiful Bend, Oregon. Our school weaves Montessori curriculum with experiential outdoor learning on a vibrant and woodsy five-acre campus, just minutes to the Deschutes River and close to world-class skiing and snowboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing, rafting, fishing, hiking, and a myriad of other recreational activities.
