Come On Down to Our Spring Plant Sale! 🌿

UPDATE 5/30/25: We still have a small selection of plants left! Tomatillos, Swiss chard, spinach, mixed kale, cauliflower, collard greens, cilantro, and zinnias. Email garden@dsmontessori.org if you’d like to make arrangements for pickup!

The Upper Elementary students have worked hard all spring to raise seedlings in our passive-solar greenhouse, and these healthy plant babies are ready for their new homes!

All plants are grown organically from seed, in homemade soil amended with compost, and fed weekly with a liquid fish and seaweed fertilizer. We’ll have an assortment of seedlings for sale, including tomatoes, tomatillos, cucumbers, peas, lettuce, spinach, kale, chard, collards, cabbage, cilantro, basil, flowers, and more!

Prices are $3 for a 4-inch pot and $5 for a 6-pack. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

We will post additional dates and times until we sell out of plants! Thank you for supporting our budding gardeners!

Desert Sky Montessori is unique in that we are the only K–6 elementary school in Central Oregon that provides a free Montessori education for all students, no matter their socioeconomic status. We are a Choice Options charter school in Bend-La Pine Schools. Our lottery opens every spring for enrollment the following fall, and we accept families on our waitlist year-round. How the Montessori method is transforming education

At Desert Sky Montessori, we engage students utilizing the many tools that the Montessori curriculum has to offer.

We meet each individual student at the place their interests and passions guide them to.

The Montessori philosophy holds that adults are “guides” and need only demonstrate, invite, and provide opportunities for children to learn.

In that spirit, we work to create conditions where students can take ownership of their own education, and ultimately of their own life.
