Ute-Anja comes to Desert Sky Montessori as a life long learner with a deep passion for neuroscience and Montessori education. She was seeking a way to combine both fields to aid children who are not yet peaceful, while guiding them through a solid and advanced scholastic experience.
She decided on an interdisciplinary approach by first getting a Bachelor’s Degree in Interpersonal Neurobiology and Montessori education from Marylhurst University. She continued on this path earning a Master of Education from Loyola University, and expanded her study in Interpersonal Neurobiology with the Portland State University’s Graduate School of Education. She is also a trained AMI Montessori Primary and Elementary educator through Montessori Northwest in Portland, Oregon, and fluent in the English and German language.
Ute-Anja and her family just recently moved to Bend and are excited to explore the many aspects this city has to offer. When she is not working, she enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, reading, traveling and more. She is thrilled to be part of the Desert Sky Montessori community and looks forward to meeting everyone.
